The 2024 Belmont Stakes will take place this Saturday, June 8th (post time of 6:41pm) at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, New York. Belmont Park is underdoing renovations, which is why this years race has moved to Saratoga. The change of location will also change the distance of the race from the traditional 1.5 miles (12 furlongs) to 1.25 miles (10 furlongs) on the shorter Saratoga track.
This years Belmont Stakes will not have a Triple Crown on the line after Kentucky Derby winner, Mystik Dan, was unable to win the Preakness Stakes, finishing second behind Seize the Grey. That said, the Belmont Stakes is still one of the biggest horse races of the year and being nationally televised on FOX from 4-7pm EST, I still expect plenty of betting action on this years race.
