On Sunday Night Football, the Los Angeles Rams will travel to Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois to take on the NFC North-leading Bears. This Sunday Night Football showdown will kick off at 8:20 PM. ET.
The Los Angeles Rams are the started the season on an eight-game winning streak. Then, they stumbled against the Saints in a shootout, before bouncing back for three straight victories. With only four weeks left in the season, the Rams are leading the race for the number one seed in the NFC playoffs. With the Saints holding a tie-breaker with their head-to-head victory over the Rams, Los Angeles cannot afford to stumble over the last quarter of the season.
The Bears are coming off a disappointing loss to the lowly Giants. While New York has embraced their role as a spoiler for playoff-hopeful opponents, the Bears loss is still surprising. Chicago allowed 141 rushing yards on 29 carries and Eli Manning played well enough to put away the Bears in overtime. With the Vikings losing, Chicago maintained their two-game division lead. With four weeks left in the season, every win or loss will be magnetized for the playoff-hopeful Bears.
In the NFL, the Rams are the team to beat.
Despite losing to the Saints earlier in the season, the Rams have the inside track to the number one seed.
Los Angeles is having a season for the ages. The Rams rank 2nd in the NFL in terms of points per game, right behind the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Rams are averaging 34.9 points and 439.9 yards per game.
Facing a Bears defense that ranks 3rd in the NFL in terms of yards and 5th in points per game, this game is a classic matchup of strength against strength.
The Rams offense has been so prolific; the safe bet for this game is the Rams offense overwhelming the Bears defense.
While the Bears defense has a lot of talent, the Rams offense has so many weapons to account for that Chicago will need to win this game with their offense.
The Bears offense will need to bounce back.
The Bears’ offense was without their franchise quarterback, Mitchell Trubisky, last week in their loss to Giants. This week, Trubisky will return and guide the Bears offense once again.
While the Bears offense was struggling overall, the one player that dominated was Tarik Cohen. Against the Giants, Cohen hauled in 12 receptions for 156 yards. Additionally, Cohen chipped in 30 yards rushing on 11 attempts. Facing a Rams’ defense that ranks 19th in points against, expect the Bears Trubisky to continue feeding Cohen the ball.

My Pick
The Bears really need this game. After being embarrassed by their loss to the Giants, Chicago defense will need to bounce back and make a statement against the Best team in the NFL. Unfortunately, this is a tall task for the Bears. They’ll need a combination of strong defensive play, as well ass, a tremendous effort by their offense.
The Rams have every advantage coming into this game. They’ve lost only once on the road, and the Bears don’t have the offense to compete with the Rams drive for drive. The Bears are averaging 28.7 points per game, that’s good enough for 5th in point per game in the NFL. Chicago’s 2nd ranked run defense got shredded last week by Saquon Barkley and the Giants’ ground attack. Expect the Bears to keep this game close, but the Rams will close this game out on the back of Todd Gurley.
