The 2024 Belmont Stakes will take place at Saratoga Race Course this Saturday June 8th. The race will be run at Saratoga for the first time ever due to the ongoing renovations at Belmont Park. The change of location will result in this years race being a distance of 1.25 miles, instead of the traditional 1.5 miles typical of a Belmont Stakes race.
There is no Triple Crown possibility this year. Kentucky Derby winner, Mystik Dan, finished second to Seize The Grey at the Preakness Stakes, ending his potential bid for a Triple Crown.
Even without the possibility of a Triple Crown winner the Belmont Stakes is still one of the biggest races of the year and I expect significant betting action on the race.
