My Pick

Pacheco is just 23 years old and already owns a perfect record of 21-0 with 17 Ko’s and has boxed 86 rounds since making his pro debut in 2019. He enjoyed a fine amateur career as he made it to the quarterfinals of the 2017 USA Youth National Championships and 2018 World Youth Championships, won the 2018 USA Youth Open and reached the final of the 2018 USA Western Regional Final and the semifinals of the 2017 USA Jr Olympics. At 6-feet-4-inches tall he’s got great height for a super middleweight and also owns a 79-inch reach.

Pacheco possesses an abundance of power in his punches with a current knockout ratio of 81 per cent and had won nine fights in a row by stoppage until McCalman took him the distance in April. His biggest pro wins to date have come over Manuel Coceres, Manuel Gallegos, Jack Cullen, Oscar Riojas, Juan Antonio Mendez, Rodolfo Gomez Jr, Lucas de Abreu, Raul Ortega and Enrique Collazo. Just one of his 21 opponents entered the ring with a losing record. Pacheco won the vacant WBC USA Super Middleweight Belt in September, 2022 when he stopped Enrique Collazo in the fifth round and captured the vacant WBO International Belt with his fourth-round TKO over Cullen.

The 35-year-old Sulecki hails from Warsaw and he’s entering the contest with an impressive record of 32-2 with 12 Kos to his name. He’s fought 221 rounds since his pro debut in 2010 and is a former Polish Middleweight and Super Middleweight Champion. He doesn’t have much in the way of power though as just 37.5 per cent of his wins have come by stoppage and he’s gone the distance in five of his last six outings. He’s got some good skills however along with a relatively solid chin and has fought between junior middleweight and super middleweight as a pro.

Sulecki’s got good size as he’s 6-feet-1-inch tall with a 68-inch but he still gives up three inches in height to Pacheco along with a whole 11 inches in reach. Sulecki’s most memorable bout was his 12-round unanimous decision defeat to former world champion Daniel Jacobs in April, 2018 when he as dropped in the 12th round and his other loss came at the hands of Demetrius Andrade by unanimous decision in 2019 in a shot at the WBO Middleweight Title.

He’s faced and beaten some solid opponents such as Jack Culcay, Gabriel Rosado, Hugo Centeno Jr., Derrick Findley, Darryl Cunningham and Grzegorz Proksa. Sulecki owns a pretty solid chin but was dropped in the 12th and final round by Jacobs and twice by Rosado. His win over Rosado in 2019 was for the vacant WBO International Middleweight Belt. He decked Rosado in the first and eighth rounds and was dropped himself twice in round nine. He’s also a former Polish Middleweight Champion.

Prediction…

Pacheco has the size of a heavyweight and a ton of power in his fists which makes him a great prospect as a super middleweight for as long as he can make the weight. Sulecki is a solid pro with just two losses in 34 fights following a good amateur career but he’s 35 years old and lacks power. Still, he’ll be a tough opponent who can’t be dismissed here. Pacheco’s height, reach and power advantage should enable him to nail Sulecki when he works his way inside and is within range. Sulecki has a good chin and could go the distance but Pacheco should remain unbeaten with his 22nd straight win on Saturday night.

Pacheco’s size and power are the difference here.
