The 2024 Belmont Stakes will take place on June 8th at Saratoga Race Course in New York. The race is moving to Saratoga due to ongoing renovations at Belmont Park. The change in venue means the race will be run at a distance of 1.25 miles this year, instead of the traditional 1.5 miles typical of the Belmont Stakes.
The Belmont Stakes will not have Triple Crown potential this year after Mystik Dan, the Kentucky Derby winner, was unable to win the Preakness Stakes, finishing 2nd.
