The Prince of Wales Stakes is by far the biggest and most prestigious race hosted by Fort Erie Racetrack each year. King’s Plate winner, Caitlinhergrtness, is not competing in the Prince of Wales Stakes, so there will be no possibility of a Canadian Triple Crown winner for the first time since 2003. Midnight Mascot, who finished 3rd in the King’s Plate, is the morning line favourite with odds of 5-2.
