The 2024 NFL Draft is set to take place from April 25th to 27th in Detroit, Michigan. The first round will take place on Thursday, April 25th, starting at 8pm with the remaining rounds finishing up on April 26th and 27th. The entire draft will be broadcast on ABC, ESPN and the NFL Network.
The NFL Draft is the biggest event of the spring and summer months for football fans, so I’m expecting plenty of betting action on the event. For this reason I wanted to add this page to help new bettors learn how and where you can bet on the 2024 NFL Draft online.

NFL Draft Betting Lines
BetOnline has a huge selection of NFL Draft betting options. At the time I’m writing this page there are around 100 different NFL Draft betting lines available including draft position over/unders, top players selected at different positions, whether specific players are drafted in the first round, and various other draft related props.
To see the full list of NFL Draft props with up to date betting lines head to BetOnline.ag open the ‘Football’ drop down menu and select ‘NFL Draft’ in the sportsbook.
Now let’s take a look at some of the popular bets to give you an idea of the selection. These odds are from April 16th – the week before the draft.
Player Drafted First Overall
Caleb Williams is widely expected to go to the Chicago Bears with the first overall pick. This pick is expected to be a lock, and the real questions in this draft come at second overall and later.
First Running Back Selected
You can bet on the first player drafted at various positions at BetOnline.ag.
Running back is an interesting position because there are five players with a reasonable chance at being the first running back selected in the draft, as you can see from the odds above. Trey Benson (+235) from Florida State is a slight favorite over Jonathan Brooks (+235) from Texas, while Blake Corum (+350) from Michigan is right there as well.
When Will J.J. McCarthy be Drafted
J.J. McCarthy is one of the top quarterbacks in the draft. The above prop allows you to bet on whether or not McCarthy will be taken in the first 5 picks of the first round of the draft. Quarterbacks are a hot commodity and this draft is no different with a few highly coveted QBs.
BetOnline.ag has these over/unders for most projected first round players.
First Round Pick Totals
BetOnline also has totals available for the number of players selected in the first round. Different categories include positions and college Conference.
Here’s an example using the total wide receivers selected in round 1:
Last year the over/under of wide receivers taken in the first round was set at 3.5. This year the wide receiver class is stronger and the total is set at 6.5 WR taken in round 1.
I think those betting lines are a good representation of the types of NFL Draft bets available at BetOnline. You can see all of the up to date betting lines for yourself at BetOnline.ag by opening the ‘Football’ drop down menu and selecting ‘NFL Draft’.
